I am a psychiatrist based in San Diego, California. My passion is providing high-quality, integrated care to patients in order to empower them to change their lives for the better.

I believe that the right treatment for a patient is the one that helps them live their life in accordance with their values. I offer psychotherapy, psychiatric medications, complimentary medicine, and lifestyle coaching. If I believe that the right treatment for you is one that I do not offer (for example, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation or ketamine-assisted therapy), I will happily make a referral.

I completed medical school, graduate school, postdoctoral fellowship, and psychiatric residency at the University of California San Diego. I was Chief Resident at UCSD and graduated with a specialization in medical education.

I have a particular interest in athlete mental health. As a former Division I athlete and collegiate national champion, I am familiar with the unique challenges athletes are likely to face.

I find that most people’s mental health issues are poorly explained by a diagnosis. That being said, the diagnoses and issues that I am comfortable treating include but are not limited to: anxiety, mood disorders (including depression and bipolar disorders), trauma-associated disorders (including PTSD and complex PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorders, personality disorders (including borderline personality and narcissistic personality), phobias, addiction, thought disorders (including schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder), attention disorders, and dementia-associated mental health issues. I am also experienced in helping people through grief, life transitions, and/or relationship issues.
